Health, Safety & Environment

We move flammable, hazardous cargo through publicroads to occupied sites. Nothing about that permits improvisation.

Health & Safety Management

01

Driver Competency

Drivers are the single largest risk factor in fuel haulage. Bluecrest Oil and Gas verifies licensing and hazardous-goods competency, conducts defensive-driving training, and enforces fitness-to-work standards including fatigue management. No driver dispatches beyond safe duty hours.

02

Vehicle Integrity

All vehicles are regularly inspected and maintained to ensure they meet safety standards. Bluecrest Oil and Gas implements a rigorous maintenance schedule to minimize the risk of mechanical failure during transport.

03

Journey Management

Routes are planned before dispatch, with identified rest points, hazard notes and communication checkpoints. Night driving is restricted, and dispatch tracking means we know where every consignment is between gantry and gate.

04

Site protocols

Before first delivery to any new site, we assess access, discharge point, earthing and firefighting provisions. During discharge: engine protocols observed, earthing connected, fire extinguisher positioned, exclusion zone respected, no naked flames or phone use within the discharge area.

Our HSE Policy Statements

01
Comply with all applicable Nigerian HSE laws and NMDPRA requirements, and alignwith international good practice where local requirements are silent.
02
Maintain a standing target of zero lost-time incidents and zero reportable spills.
03
Empower every employee, driver and contractor with stop-work authority — anyperson may halt any operation on safety grounds, without penalty.
04
Provide the training, equipment and procedures required to work safely — and acceptthat management, not workers, owns HSE outcomes.
05
Investigate every incident and near-miss to root cause, and convert findings intoprocedural change.
06
Refuse commercial pressure as a justification for safety compromise, from any source, including clients.

Emergency Response

Every Bluecrest vehicle carries a spill kit, fire extinguishers and an emergency contact protocol. Drivers are trained in first response: isolate, contain, communicate. Our escalation chain is unambiguous: driver to supply desk to management to the relevant authorities (fire service, NOSDRA for spills, NMDPRA as applicable), with client site contacts notified immediately for any incident on or approaching their premises. We rehearse response scenarios and update procedures after every drill and every real event. Emergency line: 0903 006 6277 (24/7).

Environmental Protection

Petroleum products are pollutants when mishandled; our environmental duty is prevention first, response second.

  • Spill prevention: sealed compartments, verified valves and hoses, disciplineddischarge procedure, drip trays where site conditions warrant.
  • Spill response: onboard containment kits, trained drivers, NOSDRA-alignedreporting for any reportable release.
  • Waste handling: used oil, filters and contaminated materials are managed through appropriate disposal channels, never dumped.
  • Efficiency: route optimisation reduces kilometres driven per litre delivered, cutting emissions alongside cost.

Regulatory Compliance

Operations within the framework of the Petroleum Industry Act and the licensing, product-quality and safety requirements of the NMDPRA, alongside applicable federal and Lagos State environmental and transport regulations. Documentation available for client and regulatory review.
